Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage. ~ Lao Tzu

i feel i’ve certainly experienced more of the latter, and much of that is surely rooted in ideas adopted in childhood.

patterns are in our everything, most obviously in relationships. but if you look closer, all that is prevalent in our outward experience signifies and expands upon that which exists within us.

it takes some effort and patience. it demands a certain detachment, lest we obsess and stagnate, or summon the downward emotional spiral.

we are where we are. what is presenting itself is of our own influence, while drawn by significant co-creation of the collective; we have our perceived personal values and preferences, but how deeply genuine are they, really?

if much of our lives are struggle and want, worries and only superficial joys, we’ve likely borrowed and bought into dissonant paradigms and dysfunctional ideologies.

look again.
