say what you want

say what you want i’m listening to your heart watching your hands and feeling your pulse

resonant

if i stop thinking
about the one i love
if i forget
about today’s worries
yesterday’s hurts and
tomorrow’s projections

if i remember
my true self
folding in all the
distended
fragmented
wrinkled
twisted
stretched and
chaotic spaces. . .

it occurs to me
the song would end…

winding drive is this all there is to it? black to black struggle to emerge from the womb struggle to know from the forgetting struggle to seek from the chaos struggle to love from the mind struggle to survive from the machine struggle to let go from the having wanting needing empty so much more…

emergence

emergence

again and again
you wash over me
surround and
drown me…

rivers

it never stops
though sometimes
it’d be easier
if it did
for a few breaths
but that isn’t the truth…
