Through the Ages: Growing Up?

Audio Version (music by Lesfm)

Spent my tens waiting for then…
Spent my twenties seeking plenty…
Spent my thirties getting dirty in worry…
Started living in my forties…orties…orties…

Less tolerance for bullshit, both from myself and others. Despite this, the significant and persistent noise has never been an issue, and experience helps to clear the mechanism and sharpen the lens. There is a lot of emotional insanity in these glorious times of massive change, where apathy is easy, and cowards hide from feeling.

Your incredible heart will reflect out in the world ways to snap you out of it time and again; the sacred hill will become steeper and steeper until we finally surrender to our ultimate truth. Avoid self-injury and pain, and don’t think there’s anything or anyone to whom you can project or give away the narrative of your ship, your ocean, or your life’s singular design.

The emotional anchors of guilt, shame, self-reproach, self-admonishment, and self-denial are antithetical to self-discovery, self-expression, self-trust, and self-love. This is not an ego trip. It’s about integration; all of our tools, skills, permission slips, experiences, and insights contribute to our uniqueness, importance, and value in the world.

Existing here and now is enough. Ignore the rest of the distractions and nonsense. Access the heart center so you can rekindle your creative fire. Your higher self cannot and will not be distant or silent when you need to correct your course. Utilize it. Listen, feel, and trust. Sit down and shut up once in a while.

You are loved, and you are never alone.
