There is a tendency to assume that wealth sits outside of us, as something to be acquired, measured, or finally solved. Yet much of what shapes our experience of it appears to operate beneath the surface, in quieter patterns of attention, belief, and emotional conditioning that repeat themselves until they are no longer noticed. What follows is an attempt to trace those patterns as they present themselves, without rushing to resolve them into certainty, but instead to observe how they move through perception, choice, and the way we relate to value itself.

There is plenty of money, food, water, oil, energy, raw materials, arable land, clean air, space, and time. Why do we choose to believe all of the stories, fear porn, and narratives that contradict reality? Never before in recorded history has wealth been so abundant, or general prosperity so widespread. There are more billionaires and millionaires worldwide than ever before. So why are there wars? Why is there any hunger? Why is there an increase in suicide, depression, and addiction? How is it possible that there are homeless people anywhere in the world?
The problem with charity is it shouldn’t exist. It shouldn’t even be a thing. The fact that we have increasing needs for charities, non-profits, and non-governmental organizations is proof that our old systems are defunct, destructive, and incapable of providing our cultures and societies with their basic needs. They serve the few, and the special interests. But they don’t entirely serve humanity, nor the planet.
It’s an odd idea, this spreading the message of love. Love is a given. Love is eternal, beyond mind, outside of quantification and qualification. So, what are we really trying to spread?
