Running on Empty

It’s been a banner year for team human. Whatever side of the equation you find yourself on, it’s been a singular challenge, and an ongoing struggle to reconcile endless confusion and contradictions. The time has never been so ripe for massive, positive change, yet it is also a time of intense contrast, saturated with a palpable emptiness.

Drilling to the Core

There are innumerable methods for achieving success and pursuing happiness in life — likely as many as there are philosophies and ideologies, values and belief systems. This is the beauty and complexity of the human experience; you can be who and what you want to be — you can at the very least try, and then choose something completely different. Even in the darkest of places, in the most chaotic of times, we are adaptable and capable of transcendence. 

What’s the Point of Me?

Maybe it’s just that time of year again, but I find that existential curiosities abound in the darker, shorter days of wintertime. I look at the world, and see that the majority of the dominant species seem intent on self-termination, while an increasingly awake and aware collective is emerging that might save us all from ourselves. I wonder, where do I fit in to all this? Why am I here? Who am I… really?
