Have your preferences, but remain open. If you never get to — or have yet to — experience exactly what you’ve always wanted, how do you even know it’s actually what you want?
No book is complete. In fact, your imagination and belief structure are constantly filling in gaps and interpreting words and ideas, based on the perspective of one author (or council, agency, sect, special interest, or society) filtered and remade through your perception again.
It’s not solely about motivation. If your only reason to do something is I should… there’s other work to be done first.
