If we choose to rely on the outward, external influences to fulfil us, to fill that hole in our heart, mind, or spirit, we keep ourselves limited (and thus dependent) upon that which we cannot control — save our biased perception of it, but that’s another topic. However, when we step into the realization and embody the knowing that we are ultimately the source of both the creative impulse, and concurrently our fulfilment of said impulse (regardless of what the world shows us) we move in the direction of complete acceptance; we engender the true nature of surrender.

We’re at a stage in our human journey where spirituality (consciousness) and technology are evolving and emerging at comparable, concurrent rates — and it seems as if it’s somewhat of a competition, depending on how you look at it.
It’s generally understood that the mind can’t distinguish between what is imagined to be happening, and what’s actually happening out in the world (i.e., you benefit from either imagining that you’re working out at the gym, or by actually going to the gym). What if everything we’ve ever imagined having done or achieved has already happened?
This world is oriented toward money. We see it as an ultimate means to an end, and many believe it as an end unto itself. It’s ridiculous; how can we pray to an ideal, or mythic, artificial construct that only really exists as an idea someone made up?
It’s very hard work to maintain the illusion. You’ll work a labor job, or office job, build a business that someone else taught you about in a book or seminar, or buy and sell real estate — all of which is designed around building material security and the traditional means by which our world still operates to this day. What you’re also readily aware of, is that all of these external gains and acquisitions can be taken from you at any moment. It happens all the time with fires, accidents, theft, market corrections and crashes, recessions, lawsuits, and any number of unpredictable economic conditions.
