I had a short “chat” with ChatGPT while walking through the woods on a cold, sunny winter day. GPT is fairly agreeable, as you’ll read, but we explored some thought-provoking ideas and philosophical insights that may be of interest to you, the reader, so I thought it worth sharing here in the journal. It required some minor editing for grammar and mistranslations from my voice-to-text efforts. Otherwise, this is the essence of it.

Somewhere along the line … the intellects, after a generation or two of general peace, ease of living, and prosperity, no longer under pressure from primal drivers, sociopolitical weights and measures, unfettered by outdated dogma and survivor guilt, begin the unfortunate cycle — a downward spiral of philosophical proportions.
We’re at a critical time in history when the perspective of a narrow, limited scope can do more harm than good. Though, perhaps it’s always been that way, but today, we have the benefit of massive research and analysis, measurement, science, data and information at our disposal. The problem, is the system or philosophy employed, and the consciousness underpinning the methodologies therein.
It’s an odd statement, isn’t it, “conditions may apply?” Similarly, when they say, “your call may be recorded…” they’re both blatantly lying.
So long as they can keep us scattered, infighting, and polarized, our dreams of the peaceful planet and the greater harmony that is our natural state, will remain just out of reach.
