On Change: Riding the Wave

Change is no longer a distant possibility — it’s here, crashing toward us like an unstoppable wave. Resistance only drains us; the real challenge is learning to ride it. Pain will accompany this shift, but rather than being our enemy, it is the fire that refines us, pushing us toward deeper authenticity and strength.

You can keep trying to resist, but the mighty wave is upon us. Radical change is the dominant theme of our time, and you might as well learn how to surf — it’s a full-body workout, and good luck if you try to duck-dive through it. Pain is inevitable. It is the usual suspect, and remains our constant companion. Pain is impartial, just like love, and it is a perfect teacher in both the mental and physical realms.

But don’t believe the commercial; don’t just hear the promise of relief — and never ask your doctor, because what they are pushing solves nothing. The pain has been asked for. It’s here to shake up our stagnant, stale beliefs. Without pain, without change, we wither and hasten our own atrophy.

As we collectively ramp up this profound transition — this housecleaning of the soul, this stripping down to the core — we will be called to a new level of self-awareness and deeper self-respect. The old ways of tolerating our own and others’ nonsense, of settling for less, of endless compromise, will no longer suffice.

So, turn the page and keep writing the new story, inside and out. Expect chaos. Be terrified by it, and yet invigorated. The fire can never harm what is real, what is authentic, what is alive.
