I’ve never been a confident man.
I’m sure there’s some elaborate formula that would shed light on the hows and whys: this gene, coupled with that circumstance, those parents, that culture, those schools, those books, that trauma, that success, these friends, those choices, those actions, and that value… multiplied by this belief and that evidence, equals this man?
There are individual battles, hard fought, likely justifiable, maybe on some level a rebalancing of things. Regardless, meaningful and reality shifting.
Most of us will go through life on a fairly predictable trajectory. It would take a concerted effort to live outside of the established parameters of what came before, doubly so because we learn most my modeling, training, and educating by the same means and influences.
Life is a journey, not just a destination. Yet, we often get distracted by battles that drain our creative energy. When we focus on our deeper desires and take small, inspired steps daily, the process itself transforms us. It’s not about hustling or waiting for motivation — it’s about showing up with presence, passion, and play.
There’s a strange thing that happens when we stop resisting the messiness of life. The chaos, the struggle, the unpredictable tides — they’re not here to break us. They’re here to shape us. Somewhere in the friction, we find our edge, our true selves, and the meaning we’ve been searching for all along. It’s not about avoiding the storm; it’s about learning to dance in it.
