We tend to inundate ourselves with shoulds, have-tos, need-tos — amongst all the other worries and legitimate concerns of living. We attach a lot of our creative energy to tasks, and lists, and anxieties about future things, piled on top of whatever may still linger from what has passed.
We teach, as we learn, from where we are, now. Your struggle is valuable. Your breakthrough is of benefit to all.
You can’t build a life (or a meaningful relationship, a business, or self-mastery) all at once.
Yes, we need to trust our internal (emotional) guidance system, but we can only trust it to the degree that we are aware of ourselves.
