It’s just a feeling. That doesn’t necessarily make it true.
Throughout the journey, our stories and themes intertwine, overlap, and compete, sometimes revealing things we might otherwise overlook.
Too often, though, we perceive complexity where none exists.
Time and again, we slip into familiar negative behaviors: reflexes and patterns that neither support nor encourage our preferred way of being. They’re reliable in their own way: familiar, practiced, second nature. We can count on them to be exactly what they are, nothing more and nothing less.
The great thing about learned patterns is that we can unlearn them. We can replace them with something better. But that means practicing what is unfamiliar, even before it feels natural.
Embrace the unknown with curiosity. A part of you intuitively senses that something of real substance is waiting there.
The real enemy is presumption: expecting the unknown to take the shape of the familiar, of what has come before.
The malleable space of what-could-be awaits our presence and attention.
