It’s not going to improve anytime soon above the 49th parallel, so consider your options. One could fairly say that the planned destruction of the once-aspirational idea of Canada — along with the US, UK, Australia, New Zealand, and the EU — is well underway. That’s a deep and depressing topic, and it’s not worth your time to investigate, nor can you likely do a damn thing about it. Just use your eyes, be honest with yourself about what you’re seeing, and stop making excuses for the childish, manipulative, and increasingly tyrannical behavior the provincial and federal governments are offering you.

Don’t run away simply for the sake of escaping, because you’re still you wherever you go, and you cannot outrun that. Consider instead taking full responsibility for every aspect of your life — physical, financial, spiritual, geographical, political, meaningful. Plan for ways to live your best life now, and go where you’re treated best.
