When we expect there will be a tomorrow, of course we won’t live today as if it were our last; we won’t risk it all; we won’t be vulnerable or courageous; we won’t live completely present, naked, raw, authentic and natural — we’ll always have an out; we’ll always have an excuse and an escape; we’ll always make wasteful space for boredom, ennui, and ineffectuality.
If we’re not paying attention, we’ll unconsciously adapt to and get comfortable in most any situation or circumstance.
Pain, struggle and scarcity can be just as comfortable as ease, flow and abundance.
We choose. We decide.
