Dancing on the Periphery

Committing to the unusual, uncommon, or seemingly impractical life can feel like a very weird thing to do. But as you start going down your natural path, daring to enter the arena of your preference, you’ll find very quickly that there are a lot of people in there already!

Human, Present

It’s not always easy being a human in this world. It’s always changing, and there is a lot of damage (psychic, physical, karmic, spiritual), with generations of unbalanced energies to process and recapitulate. All this complexity, unfortunately, expresses itself in how humans treat themselves, other humans, and the earth—thus creating cycles of trauma.

You’ve Already Succeeded

You’re not finished, and you’ll never get it all done, but you have already succeeded. You’ve pursued your mission, in one way or another, and while you certainly feel you haven’t done nearly enough—that you could be of better service, that you could be more at ease, and more profitable or productive—those ideas are based on industry, not on spirit.

Gently Incensed

If you’re like me, you have a tendency to be aware of, or to feel responsible for, the feelings and emotions of others. This can be a disorienting perspective, because you get into the habits of compromising, accommodating, and catering to their needs, at the cost of your own wellbeing.

For much of my life, I’ve done this in unhealthy ways.

Beyond Childhood

Life will always be pushing you to hone, refine, resolve, overcome—to be the whole you. It could be your woman, your man, your friend, your so-called enemy, it doesn’t matter. Who or what it is is relevant to you, in the present, at this junction, because it’s only ever now that offers us the chance to grow, to change, to align with our truer nature, or to continue dying.
