Trust isn’t something that can be rushed. It takes time, patience, and space — both for ourselves and others. In a world obsessed with speed, we forget that the most meaningful connections are built slowly, in the quiet spaces between words.

It is never easy to trust someone with your pain, and trying to persuade them to trust you with theirs is unrealistic. These things take time, and when we misinterpret or misunderstand the words or actions of those we care about, we often draw negative conclusions. In those moments, it’s best to simply pause, trust, hold space, and let things unfold with ease.
You cannot build walls on a freshly poured foundation. If you pour it during the winter or in the rain, it will take even longer to set. So, what’s the hurry? Anything worth doing is worth taking the time to do it right, and lasting relationships can only be built on a strong, solid foundation.
We live in a culture of instant gratification and widespread dopamine addiction. As a result, in close relationships, we obsess, overthink, and seek constant validation. But love and healing require a deeper, steadier presence. Trust and meaningful communication call for patience, not impulsivity. Our society is overly rushed, racing to go nowhere, and in the process, it has degraded — or even discarded — so much of what is sacred.
If we claim to be seekers of wholeness, we cannot dismiss any part of our story, nor can we presume to fill in the gaps of another’s. Don’t just scan, skim, or speed-read. The book’s cover provides only an initial impression; the foreword adds color; the synopsis teases — but the substance lies hidden throughout the book. Take your time with this. Read, live, pause, reflect, live, and then read some more.
And then, share what you’ve learned.
Love your life.
