“Your job is your side project.” A good perspective.
It’s a fairly common and repeating theme as we delve time and again into the creative life — or whatever we’re building, aspiring and moving toward — while we expend countless hours and energetic resources working a job to maintain a semblance of support for ourselves… and very likely a family.
The uphill battle is only ever our own figurative mountain. The dreams and aspirations that uncloak in childhood are closest to our hearts because life has yet to “get in the way”… Indeed.
keep the end results in mind. what’s the destination, ultimately? what is the goal, or underlying desire; where to you want to get to in this life?
The potential trap of specificity is its dependence on a very limited scope of potentiality.
