It’s clear that as a species, we need the ideas of climate crisis, and global economic and political collapse. We need these seemingly insurmountable challenges to both unite us, and to force us to break through the patterns and paradigms that have brought us exactly and perfectly to this intensely catalytic point in modern history.
We live in a society that seems hell bent on scaring us to death, and only superheroes can save us. If you buy into the noise, we’re only two heartbeats from failed health, failed relationships, and financial ruin.
In every moment we are given the ability and the responsibility to choose to do the right thing… or not. What is “right” is a divine, unattached, momentary locus of you-plus-universal intelligence — not simply what might be culturally or socially acceptable or expected, not what your family, or elders, or peers would expect, not anything but the pure and blessed essential true-ness of this naked moment.
The borders we define between our family around the world need to be transcended, and erased — at least insofar as they delineate separation in made-up economy, product, and competition. Politics, world banks, debt and wargames are utterly irrelevant; cultures, values, languages, community, wisdom and the arts will always be our true substance.
