Our greatest journey is quite often hidden amongst the everyday, in plain sight. It waits and formulates, adjusts and adapts, acts and reacts.
I’ve worked diligently for over 25 years to maintain the identity of an unknown, obscure artist, rather than letting him die a sweet, quiet death, or to try in earnest to see if I might be an artist nobody likes—or, maybe to find there are many, many who do like him.
You have the ability to keep yourself small, afraid, stuck, and an actual victim of your reality—your circumstances. Amazing, isn’t it?
I think the idea of “vision” needs examining and expansion. There are two ways that come to mind in which these ideals emerge in our lives, and it’s worth contemplating.
