There Is No Try

There comes a quiet moment when the soul remembers — it was never meant to live in chains. Not of the world, but of thought, fear, and forgetting. Freedom isn’t earned through effort, but revealed through awakening. You were never broken.

.  .  .

Break free — of your patterns, your unconscious habits, your self-imposed barriers, your limiting beliefs — or die “trying.”

These limitations manifest in countless ways:

  • self-sabotage
  • learned helplessness
  • abundance blocks
  • a mindset of scarcity and lack

Regardless of how cleverly labeled, it is all the same issue. No matter your background, environment, or circumstances, the root remains. It may have begun in childhood — as such things often do — but remaining an eternal child serves only the machine. And the machine, surely, deserves no more from us than it already takes.

At its core, this condition is rooted in a singular cause, though it presents as a multitude of effects. It is unnatural. In nature, there is abundance by default. Life provides for life at every level of existence. To be limited, restrained, or suppressed in any way is to be adhering to the synthetic — the artificial, imposed, and manufactured.

And so the loop repeats: thoughts, events, outcomes — again and again. But thinking is not knowing, nor is it inherently constructive. Like praying, thinking can be wishful, deceptive, and passive. Knowing simply is. It arises effortlessly in the spaces between thoughts. Yes, thoughts are things — but they are not necessarily yours to create with. Thinking is abstract, filtered yet fickle, perspective-shifting yet unreliable. A truly critical thinker is rare.

Thinking reverses emotional and psychic flow. It internalizes, stagnates, and seeks out softness and vulnerability, where it plants tension, inflexibility, inflammation, disease, aches, and pain. The cussing, projecting, hating, and judging; the anxiety, panic, blame, and anger — they all have the same origin. Thinking defines enemies. And enemies are everywhere, both within and without, when the whole world is painted in shadow and doubt.

It doesn’t matter where you go — there you will be. You can make do, compromise, let it slide, minimize, get by, and survive — but resolution will remain elusive and fragmented. It will frustrate the senses, override better judgment, and still, you’ll recycle the same old excuses. One step forward, three steps back, mixed with escapes, distractions, binges, and periods of fruitless inner conflict.

Another month, another year — perhaps a decade — will pass. And still, you’ll return to the truth, time and again, as life asks you, urges you, pleads with you to stand barefoot on the earth. To face reality not as an adversary, but as a patient, unbiased, omniscient, eternal friend. A mirror. A guide. A co-creator — always willing, always ready — to walk with you toward liberation, remembrance, and enlightenment.

Break free. There is no try.
