A Great Debate

It’s difficult to engage in paradigm-shifting dialogue when everyone assumes they’re right. It’s an unnecessary, childish heaviness that is ineffective and destructive at best.

Social Medium

Our networks have a constant pulse and flow throughout the day. A concern could be that because we have so much control over who and what we see, we create our own little extended bubble realities, essentially wearing blinders. It is certainly true to some extent. This is how Google and similar companies make billions of dollars. The content and information we provide for free allow billions of search results to be filtered down to what is most relevant to us each and every time. 

Pain, Patience, and Presence

It is never easy to trust someone with your pain, and trying to persuade someone to trust you with theirs is unrealistic. These things take time, and when we misinterpret or misunderstand the words or actions of those we care about, we often draw negative conclusions. In these moments, it is best to simply pause, trust and hold space, and be easy about it.

Storm Winds

It was a stormy, windy night when the island’s power had gone out yet again. I was wondering about the trees and who the hell is flying that prop plane that’s slowly cruising over, as the big, bright ferry remains parked at the terminal across the narrows.
